Garage Majal Update

We have roofage. Rain, January like temps, and snow, have slowed but not stopped progress on garage majal

But as of today we have full roof coverage. Unfortunately, matching existing brick has been harder than we or our mason anticipated. We can get them...custom made...in six weeks...at a hefty premium in a plant halfway across the country.

This kind of sucks. All the money saved on doing my own work and carefully shopping materials and then some I suspect, is going into red fired clay. Oh well, whatever we put on there will be there forever, and we will look at it everyday. It is only $$.

Non custom bricks above, the bottom one probably close enough in texture, but way off in color, top two way off in texture. Odd size “Norman” apparently not used so much anymore.

I went from a three stall with one tandem double deep at the old house, to a one stall at the new place, to no stalls when we tore down and started construction . Has been a wild ride my freind.

Jelly. Very Strawberry Jelly.

We looked at adding onto our garage and upstairs bedroom.  Quote was for $106K.  No can do.  Enjoy the new space.

The top brick isn't bad, but it will be noticeable. Whatever you choose, you still have a 3-car garage that many of us could only dream of.

I dream of adding onto my garage, but it will be a long time to save up for it and even then I don’t know if I’ll be in this area long enough to justify it. That said, I will vicariously garage through you (I currently have 2 stalls , the design adds 3 more off the back)
